Day 64 of San Francisco Shelter in Life ★ Keto flu?
It's Day 64 of San Francisco Shelter in Place order. I had a terrible headache yesterday and I had to lie down for a while. I didn't want to take any painkillers right after I started my keto life . So I just drunk lots of water and some vitamins. After all, it could be a symptom of keto flu. I do have bad headaches at least once or twice a month but I always deal with pain with painkillers. My headache was pretty bad and lasted the whole day yesterday but I woke up today with almost no pain. It could be a hormonal headache but also keto flu which could last a couple weeks. I had a very high carb diet until 3 days ago so I was expecting some symptoms of keto flu.
I want to avoid going to the hospital especially at this corona time but at least I know what is causing it... so if I get more symptoms in the future, I should be fine. Hopefully, yesterday was the end of it though! It's 3rd day of keto life. So far, I am loving it. Keto cooking is pretty yummy. Even Bambi's papa who is not on keto diet had been enjoying my keto cooking. So far, no carb craving, no starving...just tons of yummy food! Now, time for cooking! What should I cook tonight?

Day 63 of San Francisco Shelter in Life ★ Keto Life
It's Day 63 of San Francisco Shelter in Place order. Since I wrote my blog Day 45 of San Francisco Shelter in Life , I haven't lost any weight...I actually gained some more 😢 Yes, I tend to stress eat. When I do, it's so difficult to control my appetite. So counting calories is not a good choice for me. I needed some change. I decided to start ketogenic lifestyle yesterday. I have a good feeling about this,
My friend also started this lifestyle so she gave me lots of great info. I also found tons of info and recipes online. It's gonna be fun trying some keto cooking! It's day2 on keto, I made keto pancakes and it was so yummy! My weakness is carbs but breads are NG on keto. Keto pancake is gonna be great when I crave my bread fix! For keto pancakes I used almond flour instead of regular flour, used monk fruit sugar instead of regular sugar.
I know my pancakes aren't so "pretty" but it was not bad at all! I am trying to be proactive about dealing with my out of control pandemic appetite. It's all new to me but it will go hand in hand with intermittent fasting. I will post my food on my new IG ketolog518 for my record as well as connecting / sharing my new lifestyle with others.

Day 61 of San Francisco Shelter in Life
It's Day 61 of San Francisco Shelter in Place order. My Bambi (Chihuahua) is working the hardest as my emotional support doggie everyday. I know all furry family is doing the same especially during stay-home life! Doggies, kitties, bunnies...any furry, warm and cuddly ones are the BEST!
I love my Bambi so much and I doodle her, take her pictures everyday... so I didn't know why I didn't notice ... her white face is the shape of a heart ♡ until I got a comment on my Instagram "I love how her face is a little heart ♡” Now everytime I see her face I see her heart face. How sweet ♡
See? Her face is getting whiter ...but who knew her white hair becomes a heart ♡ It's just too crazy cute!!

Day 59 of San Francisco Shelter in Life & Clint Bambi
It's Day 59 of San Francisco Shelter in Place order. My hobby, besides doodling, is taking photos of furry friends. During stay home period, my only model is Bambi and I love taking her pictures. I took millions of her pictures last 12 years so she is a professional model by now. Yet, she makes really funny expressions and I can hardly see her cutest big eyes when I try to take a picture of her. She becomes Clint Bambi! Bambi's dad and I call her Clint Bambi every time she makes that squinty expression...which remind me of Clint Eastwood!
Why? Bambi...!? Don't get me wrong...I like Clint Eastwood. He is a cool guy and I like lots of his movies especially his recent ones. I am aiming for "cute" Bambi not "cool" or "funny" Bambi! Still...she is always the cutest no matter what.

Day 58 of San Francisco Shelter in Life
It's Day 58 of San Francisco Shelter in Place order. I finally got a letter from EDD! I was so excited and happy for a second until I opened it. It took a freaking looong time to get to this point so I thought at least they process correctly...but no! the info was all wrong. Now, I am in another kind of nightmare. I need to fix it which means that I really need somebody to actually fix it for me almost the entire application. I have been calling EDD everyday for more than a month without any luck now and I still can't reach them...! I have no clue how to talk to real people or how to correct it. I called and called, emailed, and read every single line on the EDD site info...but it didn't take me nowhere except shooting my stress really high up to the sky.
I do understand that there are so many applications and constantly changing system /rules now so EDD people are doing what they can. I did everything I could...now wait...and repeat...it just goes round and round. I also found out many people are on the same boat but it doesn't help me anything. I just feel so helpless. All this drove me crazy so I finally called my friend. She listened to my problems sincerely and gave me great info and advise. It's really hard for me to ask for help and I am glad I did today.
My nightmare is still continuing but I feel much better than this morning. Calling EDD all day is not healthy...killing myself doing it is not a good idea. That's totally true. I will just call 20 times instead of 200 times a day and if I can't go through these calls...then stop and breathe. Enjoy time with my baby Bambi the rest of the day and start over tomorrow. Today was one of my worst days as far as stress level and depression level. It's okay to ask for help... I have to remember that. I am very lucky to have friend like her ♡

Day 57 of San Francisco Shelter in Life
Its Day 57 of San Francisco Shelter in Place order. I went to the eye doctor today even though we are technically still in "stay-home" period. I was running out of my contact lenses so I called my eye doctor last week. They told me that they are taking appointements or they can order my contact lenses instead. I needed a new prescription so I made an appointement. They sent me corona related questions "Do you have a fever? Do you have a cough? Have you had contact with somebody who was infected with covid-19 in last couple weeks etc. very standard questions before my appointement. While I was there, no one else came in except people who are working there. It looks like they open limited hours with limited number of patients. I felt very safe and appreciated them. I know lots of people are waiting for the appointements until stay-home order ends. Hopefully, that won't lead to get crazy busy doctors offices. It will be very challenging after official reopening.
Today's my doodling has nothing to do with eye-doctor. This is Bambi's paw ramp (dog ramp). I love this so much. Bambi started using this ramp right away and she loves it, too. She used to use an ottoman to jump up to the sofa but she was having difficulties to jump to an ottoman and failed sometimes. We were worried she would jump down from the couch... I recommend the pawramp for senior pups or pups who have weak legs.
Everytime Bambi uses the pawramp, I feel like Bambi becomes an agility dog! She had very weak legs since she was a baby. Even after her hind leg knee surgery she was still advised "no jumping, no stairs" very fragile. This pawramp is her agility! I am happy and of course I have to tell her "wow you are a very cool agility dog!" everyday. I know I am a crazy pup mama. To Bambi, she decided that the couch is her bed now. She sleeps on the couch even when she is home alone!

Day 56 of San Francico Shelter in Life
It's Day 56 of San Francisco Shelter in Place order. I had so much on my mind last night that it led to insomnia...I wish I had a tougher heart and mind but I have to accept that part of myself. I couldn't sleep at all last night but I am not tired or sleepy just feeling of unease came over me. I needed to escape that feeling and I knew what I should do...clean-up project! I looked at Bambi (chihuahua) and she was asleep in her bed on the sofa. My schedule in stay home life always depending on Bambi. Yes! It's great timing..! The most challenging place for clean-up in my home would be the bathroom (and no fun!). So bathroom it is.
I clean up the bathroom all the time but still it gets dirty...like between the tiles or glass door. I clean them until my arm is shaking like crazy. I guess it's time to finish for today. My uneasy feeling was a little better and my bathroom is much cleaner. Killed two birds with one stone! Yay!
Bambi was sleeping the whole time. She usually asks me to pick her up when I start cleaning...but she didn't today. I guess she was very tired from weekend fun. I always envy Bambi who never has any worries in the world. Now...next project is cooking! It will be a very productive day after all.
