Year End Deep Cleaning

2020 is almost coming to an end.  This year, I spent a lot of time at home, so I would like to thank the house more than usual.  In Japan, there is a custom of year-end deep cleaning.  We clean all the dirt for that year.  By doing so, not only cleaning the house but also exorcism of misfortune and impurity for that year.  Then, welcome to new year pleasantly.  And of course, I would like to thank the house for keeping us safe and comfortable all year long.  We really needed that this year more than ever!

Year End Deep Cleaning

It takes the most time decluttering things before cleaning.  This year, I let go of a lot of things after watching "KonMari method" on NetFlix, but before I knew it, things accumulated again.  Once I throw away unnecessary stuff, then cleaning can be done so easily.  But as the first step (decluttering) is hard...why did I buy this? ... this is what I got from someone special... but I don't care for it (not my taste or no use etc.).  I did this (review my stuff, get rid of things I no longer care for, then clean and organize) one part at a time.  Therefore, it takes time.  Today is already 29th... not sure I can finish this within this year.  I know it's not how it should be but I will manage whatever I can this year and continue until all done next year.  In 2021, I want to live cleanly without accumulating things as much as possible!
