Day 29th of San Francisco Shelter in Life (Looking Back)

It's Day 29th of San Francisco Shelter in Place order.  It's almost one month since shelter in life has started.  First couple weeks, I was cleaning and organizing my place like no other.  Literally, I was doing so from morning to late night.  I had many sad news around that time besides worrying about uncertainty of shelter in life....I was trying to escape from feeling and thinking about all the issues.  However, this was a pretty great idea.  Stay-home life is so much easier and more comfortable in a clean and organized home!  If it's organized, it's easier to clean.  A clean home is more effective in preventing a  virus infection.  I think it's a good effect for my mental health as well.

nesting

I was nesting!  I was so focusing on "nesting", after all was done I didn't know what to focus on.  I felt some sense of accomplishment but also I felt exhaustion.  My mind was everywhere.  On top of that, I was calling EDD endlessly everyday during their office hours 8am-12pm without any success.  After 200 call attempts daily...I was frustrated and also worried to think how many people were filing or trying to file unemployment (so horrible!)... I felt more and more depressed and it led to "stress eating".

About one month later, I am most grateful that Bambi, Bambi's papa and I are all healthy.  I will keep my place organized and clean continuously.  I am going to try staying positive and have some fun in this shelter in life.

I also write blog in Japanese.  Here is the link!
