The anxiety of foreign students

I am taking care of doggies and kitties now for a living after graduating from school and worked a "real" job...but when I originally came to San Francisco, I came as an F-1 visa student for college.  With F-1 student visa, students had to take a minimum of 12 units per semester and you had to pass all of them to maintain the F-1 status.  In my case, I couldn't afford to take "easy" classes to buy units (for back up) so always I was on the edge.  I was working at night so I always wanted more time.

finally graduated!

I wasn't gonna write about my old days...I am going to write about foreign students now.  Due to COVID-19,  the U.S. government will not issue visas to students enrolled in schools and/or programs that are fully online for the fall semester.  New students won't be allowed to enter the country.  Active students currently in the United States enrolled in such programs must depart the country or take other measures, such as transferring to a school with in-person instruction.

I can't imagine how many foreign students who worked hard must be feeling anxious about this news.  Because of this pandemic, lots of them are having an extra hard time and now there is a chance of losing jobs, school, visa and now getting kicked out of country... What a mess!

I wish all the students who are working hard the best.  Hopefully, this pandemic will be better soon for everyone.

P.S. Today's pictures (Bambi) have nothing to do with today's theme.
